A Letter of Thanks: Building LENS Together
Improving access to effective mental health support is one of the most urgent challenges in healthcare today. Anxiety and depression affect hundreds of thousands of people every year, and too many still struggle to get timely, meaningful support.
That’s why we’re proud to share a recent letter of thanks from our partners at King’s College London, reflecting on our work together to develop LENS, a digital mental health intervention designed to support people living with anxiety and depression.
Turning research into real-world support
LENS was created to make evidence-based mental health support more accessible, through a mobile and web experience that people can use in their daily lives. From early design through to delivery, our role at Avegen was to work closely with the King’s College London team to translate their research into a practical, high-quality digital therapy.
Partnership is at the heart of how we work, especially when developing tools that people rely on to support their mental health. That means listening carefully, collaborating closely, and staying focused on delivering something that genuinely works for users.
A letter of thanks from King’s College London
To the team at Avegen:
From February to December 2025, our team have worked closely with Avegen to develop the digital mental health intervention LENS into a mobile and web app. This has, unsurprisingly, involved communicating a large amount of information to Avegen about our needs (via countless documents and meetings). We have been incredibly pleased with the thoughtful, detailed, and high-quality service that has been provided. The Avegen team have been quick to respond to our queries and have worked their utmost hardest to deliver what we asked, and this is reflected in the fantastic feedback we received about the LENS app.
As with any large project, there are times when several tasks are being juggled simultaneously and many deadlines are approaching. Despite these stressful situations, the team at Avegen have gone above and beyond to help us achieve the goals we had set and meet our deadlines. We also appreciated the tenacious nature with which they applied themselves to tasks, which was balanced by a very warm and pleasant demeanour. We have all enjoyed working with the Avegen team and look forward to collaborating further in the future!
Looking ahead
We’re incredibly grateful to the team at King’s College London for their trust, collaboration, and kind words. Projects like LENS show what’s possible when research and digital expertise come together with a shared focus on impact.
We’re looking forward to continuing our collaboration and supporting future research projects that help make digital mental health support more accessible to those who need it most.
