KLICK SHORTLISTED FOR THE 2024 HSJ PARTNERSHIP AWARDS RECOGNISING THE MOST EFFECTIVE COLLABORATIONS WITH THE NHS

Avegen is delighted to announce that KLICK, one of our digital health solutions in partnership with NHS Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust has been shortlisted for two award categories – ‘Most Effective Contribution to Integrated Health and Care’ and ‘Most Effective Contribution to Clinical Redesign’ at the HSJ Partnership Awards recognising an outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration with the NHS.

Now in its seventh year, 228 entries have been received for this year’s Partnership Awards, with 188 projects and individuals meriting inclusion on the final shortlist, The high volume - and exceptional quality – of applications once again mirrors the impressive levels of innovation and care continually being developed across the UK’s healthcare system.

Following the thorough judging process, Avegen & Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust were shortlisted, ahead of the official awards ceremony to be held next year (21 March), with our KLICK digitised clinical workflow standing out as a real ‘success story’ worthy of a prized place on the panel’s shortlist.

In the UK, the demand for HIV services has surged, amplifying resource and capacity challenges, especially with the evolving needs of an ageing HIV population. Klick is a digitally-enabled pathway, available since August 2020, to support patient access to their HIV outpatient clinic. It is used by more than 5,800 patients and involves a smartphone app for patients to book/reschedule/cancel appointments, view routine HIV-related results, request HIV medication, submit pre-visit questionnaires (PVQ) and/or receive care updates from the clinical team. Clinical staff have access to their own portal with dynamic workflows, built to manage the HIV patient cohort, alleviate the workload and free up time to provide more care.

Whatever the result on the night, we already feel like winners for getting this far. We are so proud to have the opportunity to share our success with colleagues from across the entire sector and showcase everything we've learned through implementing our project." - Dr Nayan Kalnad, CEO, Avegen.

HSJ editor Alastair McLellan, adds; “It always gives me great pleasure to congratulate our finalists at this stage of the judging process and this year is no exception as we acknowledge Avegen & Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust  for being shortlisted in the two categories.

The calibre of entries left our panel of expert judges with some tough decisions to deliberate over. However, it’s always important to remember that the HSJ Partnership Awards are not just a celebration of success stories, but also a platform to shape the future collaboration within the NHS."

The selected winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at Evolution London on March 21st  2024.
