Peace of Mind for Diabetes

Supporting people living with diabetes who experience Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Healthmachine™ created a digital solution designed to support people living with diabetes who experience Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN). Its launch in January 2025 marked Avegen’s first ever live implementation in Thailand, supporting their local population to better manage their symptoms and reduce complications from this challenging condition.

The challenge

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is a common yet serious complication of diabetes, affecting nearly half of all adults with the condition over their lifetime. It occurs when prolonged high blood glucose levels damage the nerves, often leading to pain, numbness, and an increased risk of foot ulcers and even lower limb amputation.

Early detection and proactive management through regular foot checks, blood glucose control, and pain relief are essential to reducing and managing the risk of further complications.

As the focus on lifestyle interventions like weight loss and physical activity grows, digital solutions can play a vital role in supporting patients with the tools and guidance they need to manage DPN effectively.

Our solution

Developed in close collaboration with our global pharma partner, Bao Jai Bao Wan (Peace of Mind for Diabetes) is a user-friendly app designed to help people with diabetes manage the challenges of DPN. By combining education, symptom tracking, and personalised support, the app empowers users to take control of their health and reduce the risk of complications.

Key app features:

  • Educational resources to improve understanding and self-management of DPN
  • Health tracking to monitor key metrics and track progress over time
  • Personalised health goals tailored to individual needs and lifestyles
  • Interactive dashboard providing a holistic view of health and trends
  • Pain scale monitoring to assess symptoms and guide better pain management

With these tools, users gain greater insight into their condition, feel more in control of their symptoms, and are better prepared for discussions with their healthcare providers, leading to more informed and proactive care.
